We enjoy tackling unpopular subjects. Now that its early January and many people have resolutions about improving their health and fitness there isn’t a better time to discuss the topic of alcohol consumption.
We’ve been reluctant to write about this topic even though many people have requested our opinion and requisite commentary. And please, we don’t give a RATS ASS if you choose to drink Alcohol.
There are a million reasons why you personally can justify your consumption. And who are we to cast judgment on what any person does as an individual?
Our credo is always live and let live. If you want to drink wine-beer or liquor, feel free. But it is OUR JOB to also tell you the likely results of its “over consumption” on the human physique and the conscious mind.
According to “many studies” moderate alcohol consumption offers distinctive benefits to vascular health and also promotes nitric oxide formation which can improve virility. Our problem with the studies is defining “moderate alcohol consumption”. Who really drinks alcohol moderately anyway?
American culture glamorizes drinking beer at every opportunity. People drink to get drunk and lessen social inhibitions. Saying moderate alcohol consumption is good for you is kind of a misnomer. That said, there are people who drink a glass of Red Wine 5 nights a week for its health enhancing abilities. For them, the research applies perfectly.
But for others who drink to get drunk, let’s understand what doing this 3-4 weekends a month will do to you.
- Alcohol is directly converted to triglyceride(FAT) in the human bloodstream
- This new found triglyceride will then show up in the areas where you are prone to store it

There are numerous other negative consequences from regular weekly or weekend alcohol over consumption.
Our bottom line:
Alcohol “truly consumed in moderation” is scientifically proven to offer multiple benefits to human beings. A glass of wine every night shouldn’t do any real harm provided you also exercise and diet accordingly.
In your 20’s with above average genetics, you can maintain a quality physique and get hammered most weekends. Once father time changes the equation in your early to mid-30’s, continuing this behavior leads to disastrous consequences for the composition of your body.
If your goal is to age gracefully possessing a quality physique with noticeable muscularity and definition and young looking facial features including strong skin elasticity-minimize your alcohol consumption completely once you hit 35 and older.
