So it’s a new year and you know you should exercise more due to the many benefits it offers. You also know you should eat a cleaner diet. But at the end of the day, why is it important to do either in the grand scheme of life?
Is it really worth all the hard work and sacrifice to look good?
FFOver40 says HELL YES! Why? A physically impressive person rarely makes a bad first impression on anyone. Think about that statement for a minute and let it resonate.
Now think about your life and the few chances you’ll likely ever get to make an important first impression. We’ll list them right here.
- New Job
- Speaking to Group/Crowd
- Photo Opportunity
Having an impressive appearance (Male or Female) will 99% of the time give you a leg up initially (even before a person opens their mouth). And almost without fail, a small window of opportunity or chance is all you need. Sometimes it’s literally the difference between given an opportunity and not. Of course what you do with it is up to you. But as you’ve read hundreds of times, sometimes success is being in the right place at the right time. It’s more likely you’ll be in the right place at the right time when people are impressed with your initial appearance.
And let’s not forget about the psychological boost you’ll gain from feeling good about how you look. When your self esteem is sky high the majority of the time- your passion and zest for life will shine through. You will know the dedication and persistence required in keeping yourself looking and feeling good. The results will be evident in your job, your interpersonal relationships, your attitude, etc.! People want to be around others who look and feel good. Imagine how your positive vibe will rub off on others? People will naturally gravitate to your energy. Your life will be significantly more enjoyable from the good will and positive demeanor you give off.
Now if any of that made sense, it should be clear why choosing to be physically fit benefits you in the big picture of life. At the end of the day, life is hard and full of difficult choices and decisions. Physical Fitness is a choice that rewards you with a lifetime of benefits too good to pass up.
Here is a REALITY CHECK:
Go to your room…close the door…stand in front of the mirror…take off ALL your clothes…look at yourself…Do you like what you see? If not, it is your choice to make the change!
Be the BEST YOU at Any Age!
