How do you live your life?
Do you live life as a creator or a reactor? Do you have an intention daily of what you want your day to look like?
This is what I send out to a couple select people every morning as I’m starting my day:

It is easy to forget, you are a creator. Every moment you wake up, you decide how you want to create your life (by the thoughts you focus on). The moment you close your eyes before going to sleep, what are the last thoughts you choose to carry with you as you drift into another dimension?
I know all to well how easy it is to react to situations as they occur in life. I was taught how to worry. I was told “If you care, then you worry”. So guess what? My thoughts as I would drift to sleep and awaken would be ones of fear, doubt, and worry. Situations would occur in my life and I would literally freak out. My mind would race. What if ____ happens?
With these thoughts at the forefront of my mind, I would envision the worst case scenario. Hence, self created stress would appear. I would pray almost daily to stop the “chatter” in my head. I felt like I had no control and I was destined to be filled with reactions to respective circumstances in my life. Life can be a challenge with this perspective.
Does life truly have to be this way? NO! I decided I wanted to do things differently. I read books about personal growth, spiritual development, emotional stability, etc. I attended personal growth seminars. I immersed myself into meditation and hired life coaches. I felt like there was ‘something out there’ to ‘fix me’. Funny thing, it was never out there and didn’t exist.
I learned through my journey that “as a man thinketh so is he”. Literally, our thoughts are things. We are creators. How are you continuously speaking to yourself? When you first open your eyes, what are the first thoughts coming into your mind.
All of the great teachers have essentially expressed the same message, with different words:
- What we think, we become.~Buddha
- Whether you think you can or think you can’t…you’re right.~Henry Ford
- Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. ~Jesus
- Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics. ~Albert Einstein
I had a great teacher, who was my “life coach” at the time (Matthew Ferry). He said, “What if you started each day with your ‘Gratitudes, Intentions, and Delegations’ to the universe. ” He had me share this with select people each morning so we could each apply our energy toward the creation of these items. His goal was to get us to start our day from a place of gratitude. Then, what was our intention on how we wanted to feel? Lastly, what did we delegate the universe (God) to handle?
I do this daily as a way to start my day. I call it my “GID’s”. I start by “creating” my day. I begin by typing what I am grateful for (the ability to breathe, sit, etc.). Then I type what I intend to be for the day (happy, joyful, peaceful, etc.). At the end of my email, I type what I would like to create in my life (spoken as if it has already occurred).
The key to this is to be unattached and to come from a place of gratitude. There have been times when I am doing my “GID’s” where tears of joy flow from my eyes as I am immensely grateful for everything in my life. When I delegate, I believe each and every item on my list is attainable and I visualize them actually happening.
Interestingly enough, every time I complete my “GID’s”, I have many of the items come to fruition. I simply smile with gratitude and say to myself,
“Good luck, abundance and prosperity follow me wherever I go!”.
I don’t ever think, crap I didn’t get 5 out of my list today. I know I will always get the essence of the intention set. The energy I put out will come back and most certainly does. In life, you can continue to act like a victim (helpless) or you can discover your power within and decide to be the creator you intuitively are.
My intention with this post is for every person to take charge and deliberately create their day. To start each and every day with sincere gratitude -especially accepting the contrast and negativity in your life. Accepting these things whole heartedly is how we grow as humans. Remember, part of the process includes taking action and participating in life. The energy you put out is what you will get back. Our time is limited, but we must remember to enjoy life each and every step of the way.
Be the BEST YOU at any age!
