Have you ever thought what it means to “try”? What is try?
Words have powerful meanings. Why not use powerful words?
I am sure you realize the words you speak have power. The words are said and can not be changed once they come out of your mouth.
I went to a personal growth seminar years ago and they asked a poignant question, “Can you really try to do anything?”. Picture this and do this! Try to get up, come on TRY.
You can’t try to get up. You either get up or you don’t. So why do we program ourselves to continually say, “Don’t worry, I will try.”
Remember Yoda’s words in the Star Wars movies: “There is no try, do or do not”. How about you change your language now? Instead of verbalizing you will “try” which has no power. (and is even a lie you are telling yourself) Why not say, “Yes, I will get it done” or “No, I won’t be able to do that”.
Once you can speak powerful words, you will see your life transform. Time and time again, we say things without thinking. Someone may ask you to do something and automatically what comes out is “I will try”. This limits your power tremendously because your mind knows there is no try and yet you continually say it to yourself.
Say you had a very important project to do and you wanted someone you could depend on to accomplish the task. Would you feel confident having someone do it who said, “I will try” or “Absolutely, I will get that done in the next hour”.
Let me give you an example:
You are 30 pounds overweight. Your diet sucks. You have no clue on how to train. You go to a trainer and nutritionist who give you a sure fire way to create the results you want. They go over a step by step guide on what to do so you can accomplish your goal. You have the action steps necessary. They ask you, “Are you ready to make the changes necessary in your life to get you 30 pounds lighter?” You respond with, “Yes, I really want it, I will try my best”.
Seriously, is this the best you can do. You are willing to invest time and money with someone who can help you and yet all you are willing to do is “try”? Come on, you can stay mediocre and continue to try, going nowhere or you can decide to simply do it and accomplish your goal.
Once you pay attention to the words coming out of your mouth, you then become a powerful creator. Choose your words wisely. Understand your brain is listening and you will believe what you tell yourself continuously.
Remember if you have kids, you are their first teacher. Once you begin to use words that create power around them, they will follow suit. Teach them TO DO and NOT TO TRY.
If you’re tired of TRYING to be the best you can be, work with professionals who guarantee results.
Try and have a great day 😉
Be the BEST YOU EVER!
