With the number of men writing in with stories of suffering from testosterone deficiency syndrome (TDS) aka low testosterone, I would say the situation is far more grave than our Medical Community would like to admit.
My book, tackles this issue in depth.
But a quick commentary for the many awesome brothers who continue to write in asking this question is in order . (My apologies for not recently keeping up with the blogging and videos-launching a book is a full time job in and of itself.
Why is Low Testosterone more a problem now than 50+ years ago?
During that time our environment wasn’t heavily bombarded ‘yet’ by modern day societal contaminants.
Most large population centers are now teeming with irritants, pollutants, particulates (phytoestrogens, soy, phthalates, BPA, plasticizers etc) which have disrupted our endocrine systems from functioning optimally.
This has dramatically reduced sperm count and quality and significantly reduced men’s natural testosterone production.
In my opinion, IT IS an epidemic-not yet recognized by both the mainstream media and medical community due to a number of issues-mostly due to the MAJORITY of men being embarrassed or ashamed of their condition and refusing to seek treatment.
Most men are entirely unaware of their low testosterone condition
Testosterone deficiency retards cognition (producing a stifling brain fog) creates depression and obesity and rapidly accelerates the degenerative diseases of aging including Dementia and Alzheimers.
Even more unfortunate for the small minority of men who do seek treatment, their doctors usually prescribe a mood altering medication (SSRI Inhibitor) and some form of erectile dysfunction like Cialis or Viagra without bothering to order their blood work to provide a proper diagnosis.
As unfortunate as the facts are, the only answer for men around the world is to inform and educate themselves. We must take our health into our own hands and become our own doctors. .
Ordering my book is a step in the right direction, but a bigger movement has to start amongst men of all ages and races.
We must become aware and cognizant of the signs and symptoms of testosterone deficiency and seek treatment with progressive and experienced TRT physicians trained to spot the condition.
If you yourself or if you know of a friend, relative or colleague suffering, please push them to our Testosterone Resources Page. I also encourage you to reach out to me as I return every message and email personally.
You only have one life (that we know of) and to let it go to waste while suffering in silence with the symptoms of low testosterone is unacceptable.
Remember-Only you can CHOOSE to become the BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF!
