We can all admit that things are not always altogether positive in our lives. There will be times when we can find ourselves in a rut, wondering where it all went wrong. In these moments it is crucial that we not let ourselves get stuck there. So, how can we, allow and encourage positivity back into our day to day lives. Here, we will share some great ideas on how to do that.
Love yourself and share your gifts
Sure, it is easy to throw a pity party and focus on the things that aren’t the way you wish they were. But focusing on what you don’t have will get you nowhere. One of the best things you can do during these seemingly low points in life is to love yourself. What that means is, find the things you appreciate about yourself and own them. Allow yourself to share your talents with the world. By doing this, you will generate positive natural energy, and you’ll be surprised at the thoughtful feedback you will receive from others when you do.
Be grateful for what you have
It’s easy to become spoiled and get used to having all the luxuries of modern life. But, it’s essential to stop and value them more than once in a while. The basic things we have like health, freedom, clean air, a bed, food, and running water are a lot more than what most of the world has. Not to mention, air conditioning, internet, 200 channels and all the rest of things we have become accustomed to. One way to become more conscious of this is making a list for the things you are grateful for during the day. The sun is shining, made it to work on time, had gas in the tank, and simple things like that can help keep your mind focused on all the little things that are going right.
Speak positivity over your life
Something you can do is to talk about what is not yet visible as if it were. No, not be delusional. But more like – fake it till you make it – if you will. Speaking positive declarations is nothing more than programming yourself to expect good things. Our minds are more powerful than we give them credit for and your words even more so. These speak deep into your subconscious mind and can generate a massive impact of where you are going in life. Same is true for the negative words we speak; they too impact our thoughts our actions and our consequences. So, before you talk, think, analyze whether that statement gets you closer to where you want to be.
To conclude, there is not so much that can be done by adding positivity if we choose to keep negative thoughts, people and situations as a constant part of our day to day lives. What we need to do is have the courage to break ties and make a clean break, start over and choose better this time around.
